Hearts n Hands is an outreach of the UYL ministry that has served the widows and orphans of rural and Kingston Jamaica since 2000.
PURPOSE
To afford the urban youth of KC to express their missionary zeal through short term mission trips, by serving the widows, seniors and children of rural and Kingston Jamaica.To take Christmas to the widows, elderly , orphans and children of Jamaica.
STRATEGY
Urban youth are introduced to the mission field over the Christmas holidays. The youth are chosen and accompanied by trained young adults that previously have been introduced to missions through this ministry. Hearts n Hands serves 350-500 children every Christmas. This affords our youth exposure to cultures outside their own, to experience the power in serving the less fortunate, and increased understanding of being a leader in their own communities and abroad.
