Horao (Hor-ah’-o)- “To see with understanding”
Purpose:
HORAO International Missions is committed to cultivating a generation of young women who know God as their creator and loving redeemer. We are committed to joining Him as he invites us to participate in His works - in the urban core of Kansas City, and, across the globe. Horao is driven to encourage young women to celebrate their beauty, and to embrace our cultural diversities from a strengths-based and biblical perspective. We are made in God’s image (Genesis 1:27).
Gen. 1:27- So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
“Seeing and understanding who we are. Through Christ, we are image-bearers of God.”

Strategy:
Horao will unite young women from Kansas City’s urban core, with young women across the globe - through multimedia production, the arts, design, and international missions.
Plan of Action
HORAO will assist young women in developing an awareness of their beauty, their strengths, and their resiliencies through guided discussions, biblical counseling, the arts, design, and other faith-based resources.
HORAO will assist young women in developing an awareness of the issues young women face, both inside and outside of their social networks; and, empower them with knowledge and resources to create positive change, through short term missions.
HORAO will assist young women in cross-cultural communication, raising awareness, and advocating for other young women regarding the challenges they face - through multimedia production, the arts, and design.
HORAO will utilize multimedia production and various art and design forms as an outlet, as a means to exercise creativity, and for ministry development.
